The Christian life is a race. We start off well, knowing that at the end, there is a great reward.
But unlike any other marathon, the obstacles are greater. We get distracted. We grow weary. We lose focus. We grow cold.
The Christian life is beyond difficult. It is impossible, but God doesn’t want us to give up because He Himself did not give up on us. It’s tough, but it’s worth it.
In this retreat, let’s get back on track to the race that was set before us. Together, let’s learn, get trained and practice under His strength and grace that we ought to have as followers of Christ.
Hebrews 12: 1-3
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,
fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
